Today Trevor, Ian, and me (Scott) put on a little demo for the kids in VBS at the Baxter YMCA. With only bringing a rail, the guys were pretty limited with what they could do, but they did great. It was awesome to go out and share with the kids what we do here at The Cinder Project, and most of all who we do it for, Jesus Christ. The kids loved it! They would clap and cheer after every trick we would land, and even the ones we didn't land. I think their favorite was when I ollied over Trevor and Ian laying on the ground. After our demo we went inside and the kids got the chance to ask us a few questions about skateboarding. After the questions, David shared a story from the book of Mark with the kids. It was the story of Jesus calming the storm. He used this story to explain to everyone how we can always turn to Jesus with every situation in our life that may seem scary or hectic or when we are in trouble, and He is there to calm "the storm" and provide for us. It was definitely a lot of fun and a great experience.
